We actively develop our operations in collaboration with staff. The basic education student population is approximately 18,000. The staff consists of 2,000 professionals. We are seeking a fixed-term teacher of English, French, and Swedish for grades 1-6 from August 4, 2026, to July 31, 2027, at Koiviston School. Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel 986/1998. The required teaching qualification; degree, taught subjects (credit points/semester weeks), and pedagogical studies should be specified as detailed as possible. The required qualification must be obtained before the application deadline. A versatile pedagogical competence, excellent interaction and collaboration skills, additional training supporting the role, and experience teaching at primary school are considered an advantage. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract related to working with children, issued under the Act on Background Checks for Persons Working with Children (504/2002), in accordance with the Criminal Records Act (770/1993) section 6, subsection 2, before taking up the position. Part of our duties include health status verification under section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act, so a tuberculosis examination of the respiratory system will be checked if necessary.
