We are seeking a Construction Manager to strengthen our Construction Services unit. As a Construction Manager, you will work independently in an expert role within the Construction Services unit, where we provide comfortable, functional, and safe spaces for various operators and their clients within the Pirkanmaa wellbeing area. The role of Construction Manager is a demanding expert position. You will be responsible for the progress and success of projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders and partners. Your key responsibilities include: - Acting as project manager for several large construction projects (possibly subprojects of the Tays renewal program) - Guiding design and coordinating construction - Serving as deputy to the Construction Supervisor - Utilizing your specialized expertise to support projects and develop construction services - Participating in the preparation of investment plans for construction projects - Managing project leadership tasks, organization, and reporting. The qualification requirement for the position is a suitable higher university degree (e.g., in construction engineering) and at least ten years of experience in demanding construction and contracting tasks, such as project management and supervisory roles. We require: - Previous extensive and diverse experience in construction or building technology, including roles as an officer, expert networks, and readiness to work in a hospital environment, as well as project management experience - Significant in-depth and broad technical expertise and the ability to apply professional knowledge and skills in demanding situations and conditions - Ability to understand the overall structure of large technical systems - Broad knowledge and skills in operating devices, tools, software, and information systems, and maintaining these skills - Ability to identify internal and external communication needs and communicate technical matters clearly and understandably to everyone - Good Finnish and English language skills, as most work is conducted in Finnish, but some technical documents and software are in English. Success in the role requires good customer service, interaction, and negotiation skills, the ability to lead projects and report progress, and the ability to understand large technical entities. We value initiative and the ability to solve demanding problems collaboratively with various stakeholders. A RAP or RAPS certification or equivalent qualification is an advantage. The position requires a B-class driving license and access to a car. The start date for a permanent employment relationship is negotiable, during August. A six-month trial period applies.
