Helsinki's Kirsikka is looking for a skilled and results-oriented kitchen manager to lead its kitchen in the heart of Hakaniemi Market Hall. Kirsikka is an evening restaurant opened in late spring 2023, operating on the second floor of the beautifully renovated Hakaniemi Market Hall. We offer international cuisine with a domestic touch in an architecturally impressive environment, where modern Finnish art is central. The menu changes seasonally, and we work closely with market hall vendors. Work shifts include morning and evening shifts (lunch and dinner), with the restaurant open from Tuesday to Saturday, and occasionally on some Sundays. The employment can start flexibly during the summer or in August. Responsibilities include: Overseeing the overall management and daily operations of the kitchen, Leading and developing your kitchen team by example, Being part of the restaurant's management team, Monitoring food usage, costs, and profitability, Actively participating in menu development and quality assurance. We expect from you: Previous experience as a kitchen manager or similar leadership role, Ability to lead a team in busy service situations, Strong professional skills and a desire to continuously develop yourself and operations, Interest in restaurant business figures and profitability management, Humility, responsibility, and genuine passion for food and restaurant culture.
