We are looking for welders for a project workshop in Lahti. Do you enjoy modifying, joining, and welding metal/steel structures? Are you comfortable working both in the workshop and on-site? Our client is a growing, practical industrial and steel construction project workshop in Lahti. The company provides comprehensive services to clients, including steel structures, welding, machine shop manufacturing, and, if needed, installation, maintenance, and repair work – all under one roof. You can be an experienced professional or someone eager to develop your skills with a proactive attitude. Job Description You will work on diverse metal and welding tasks at the client’s project workshop and possibly on construction sites. Your main duties include manufacturing, assembling, and welding steel and metal structures according to drawings. The work mainly involves welding, but also cutting, bending, and other sheet metal tasks. Work is performed at the metal workshop/ hall, as well as at installation and maintenance sites. The position is full-time, day shifts, Monday to Friday. There are opportunities for long-term employment for the right candidate, and work will start as soon as suitable candidates are found. The workshop is located near public transportation, but it is easiest to commute if you have your own car. If you possess the following, you might be the person we are looking for: * Experience in welding, metalworking, and steel construction – you may be self-taught or have formal training. * Valid professional certificates if working on construction sites (work safety card and hot work permit) – if not, these must be obtained before starting work. * Good Finnish language skills or fluent English – the working languages are Finnish / English. * Willingness to work and common sense – the work is independent, and you are responsible for your work quality. * Good social skills – able to work well with people even in challenging situations. * Initiative – proactive in completing tasks.
