Music School Demo is a private music school operating in the Helsinki metropolitan area and Tampere. We offer high-quality and cheerful instruction in playing instruments and singing for all levels for those over 7 years old, without entrance exams. We provide education based on the national core curriculum for arts education. Our teaching emphasizes rhythm music. We are now seeking a part-time band teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The position may continue into the following school year. Band lessons are conducted on an alternating weekly basis, with varying band sessions and small group or individual instrument lessons. The teacher should have basic skills in all band instruments (guitar, bass, drums, keyboards) and specialize in one of these instruments as their main instrument. Additional instrument teaching outside of band lessons can also be arranged during lesson evenings. The teaching locations are in Espoo, Helsinki, and Vantaa. Teaching days are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, with possible additional evenings. The days can also be divided between two teachers if needed. The position requires relevant educational background and at least a few years of work experience, knowledge of rhythm music, and good social, musical, and pedagogical skills. Proficiency in Finnish is essential. Experience in lesson planning and development, initiative, and enthusiasm for doing things in new ways are valued.
