The Forest Centre is an active implementer of forestry development projects. We promote diverse and sustainable use of forests, business activities, and biodiversity through numerous projects. The Kainuu and North Ostrobothnia regions' maintenance and administration of private roads are promoted in the KAiPPaTiesit project, which activates road associations, improves road conditions, and fosters cooperation among associations. The project employs a project manager and a project specialist. The KAiPPaTiesit information dissemination project is funded by the North Ostrobothnia Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment from the Rural Development Fund. The project is carried out in North Ostrobothnia and Kainuu. The project duration is from August 1, 2026, to October 31, 2028. Your tasks include: Acting as an expert on private roads. Assisting the project manager in implementing the project. Managing project communication together with the project manager and actively communicating key themes. Preparing and conducting information sessions and training for forest owners, active road associations, and companies, together with the project manager. You will also conduct training yourself. Collaborating with stakeholders. We expect you to have: Appropriate education, such as a forestry engineer or civil engineering, transportation, or community technology engineer. Good knowledge of private road sector. Communication skills. Good interaction skills. An active and proactive work attitude. Good oral and written skills in Finnish. Willingness to travel and ability to use your own car. At the Forest Centre: You will become part of a national network of experts. Your supervisor will be a business manager. The project will be implemented with a project manager. You will have support from forestry, communication, and training experts, as well as project secretaries and the finance team. Salary is determined according to the Forest Centre's collective agreement, with a basic salary of 3,544.60 euros/month. Additionally, a performance-based personal salary component, typically 0.25% of the basic salary for new employees, may be paid. Your work location will be at the Forest Centre's Oulu or Kajaani office. The employment is fixed-term from August 3, 2026, to August 31, 2028. The reason for the fixed-term contract is a specific project. The work begins on August 3, 2026, or as agreed. The position includes a six-month probation period. Interested?
