UPM invests in the sustainable chemistry of tomorrow – and in you.” - Falko Keck, Production Manager What you will do: Participate in commissioning new plants as well as prepare, set, test, and perform water rides. Independently monitor and operate a defined plant area in full continuous shift operation, including control of production and quality parameters and troubleshooting. Conduct regular inspection rounds, identify and eliminate operational disturbances, and support maintenance and shutdowns. Ensure occupational safety, environmental protection, order, and cleanliness, and take samples for the operating laboratory. Your additional tasks in the role of deputy shift supervisor: Lead, motivate, and develop the shift team and ensure smooth information flow. Independently control and monitor production processes in shift operation. Check quality, quantity, and compliance with production and order schedules. Coordinate and support maintenance measures and external service provider readiness. Support in resolving damage cases, process disturbances, and cross-area production flows. What you bring: Completed training as an industrial master (m/w/d) in chemistry or equivalent experience, with several years of experience in the chemical industry. Strong chemical-technical understanding and manual skills. Good knowledge of QLS and PLS systems and process control systems. Logical, analytical, and structured working style. High flexibility, resilience, and assertiveness. Good team and communication skills. Positive leadership qualities, experience in employee management, and business management knowledge.
