Industry design professional! Would you like to be involved in improving our clients' production efficiency, operational reliability, and maintenance processes? At Caverion, you will work with the latest technologies and create practical solutions for all stages of industrial production. We are now seeking an experienced process designer for a permanent position in Kokkola, Tampere, Vantaa, or Rauma. This role offers a diverse set of tasks for a process designer with a few years of experience who wants to participate in client investment projects and maintenance assignments. You will work with our skilled design team and clients' organizations across various industrial sectors. Your main focus will be serving local clients in process design. At Caverion, you will work in a truly versatile environment: one day you might work from an office or home office, and another day you might wear protective gear and visit an industrial plant. Our offices are located throughout Finland, providing flexibility for different life situations. We collaborate closely across locations, and although the work is independent, you will have support from experienced colleagues both locally and nationwide. Your key responsibilities: - Communicate openly with colleagues and take full responsibility for planning and executing client projects within your expertise from start to finish. - Conduct client meetings, define processes and operations, perform sizing, and design at device and system levels using key design software. - Prepare process and instrumentation diagrams, operational descriptions, and procurement documents, and actively participate in bid comparisons and technical procurement negotiations. - Participate in commissioning activities. - Develop and optimize processes and ensure the technical functionality of solutions in collaboration with different design disciplines. - Interact with clients and independently manage project progress, schedules, and technical quality. Are you a doer of effective solutions? You will likely enjoy working at Caverion if you have: - A Master’s degree or engineering degree (e.g., process, energy, paper, or pulp). - Over 3 years of experience in energy, process, forestry, or chemical industries. - Experience using design software. - Skills in defining processes and operations, as well as performing sizing and device specifications. - Experience in preparing operational descriptions. - Skills in creating flow and process instrumentation diagrams (PI diagrams). - Experience in preparing procurement specifications and materials, bid comparisons, and negotiations. - Experience in process development and optimization. - Understanding of the functions of different design disciplines and experience working across disciplines. - Ability to independently handle client projects and operate at the client interface.
