If you answered yes, this could be just for you: We are seeking three nurses for the Avaruus inpatient ward and the associated epilepsy monitoring unit at the new children's hospital, for various fixed-term positions. The heart of this role beats for pediatric and adolescent nursing. The work is on a three-shift schedule. The Avaruus ward cares for orthopedic, trauma surgical, neurosurgical, neurological, and plastic surgical patients, including surgery, monitoring, observation, and rehabilitation. The ward is a 24/7 inpatient unit at the new children's hospital. The selected candidate must also take responsibility for the epilepsy monitoring unit connected to the ward. We expect you to have a customer-oriented and positive work attitude, a development-minded approach, and an interest in working with children and adolescents. Age-appropriate interaction with children and collaboration with parents in challenging family situations require excellent teamwork skills. Previous experience in demanding pediatric specialized care and related fields is considered an advantage. We value good team skills and the ability to handle difficult situations. Our ward emphasizes the quality of nursing care and patient safety, and the substitute must commit to working according to the magnet hospital model. In our pediatric and adolescent care, we have effective debriefing after stressful situations and a well-being coordinator whose work well-being coaching and supervision have been highly appreciated. The ward has an educational nurse to support your orientation in collaboration with the primary preceptors. The starting salary for this position is €3,146.75/month, with possible experience-based supplements and compensation for unsociable working hours. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by the Criminal Records Act (770/1993) section 6, subsection 2, for those working with children. We require vaccination against infectious diseases for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health status report regarding tuberculosis for healthcare workers.
