Työtehtävän kuvaus

The child protection social work unit at Pohde Tuiran is offering a position where you can do impactful and humane work with children and families in the Tuira-Toppila and Kaijonharju-Linnanmaa areas. What does the work involve? You will work as part of a skilled team responsible for open and residential care in your area, as well as aftercare for minors. Our goal is to focus resources more strongly on work with children and families—not just administration. The client limit is set at a maximum of 30 minors under 18 to enable genuine impactful encounters. Team and support Your colleagues will include 9 social workers and a responsible unit manager. You will also have support from a line manager and lawyers—you will not be alone in challenging situations. Your workplace is located at Tuiran Wellbeing Center, where weekly team meetings, supervision, and good training opportunities support your work. The qualification requirement is eligibility under the Social Welfare Professionals Act (817/2015) §7 for social workers. In the absence of qualified applicants, we may also select a person studying social work who has completed the core studies and practical training in social work. We will verify original diplomas and employment certificates during interviews. Applicants must be registered in the register maintained by the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Terhikki and/or Suosikki). The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as specified in section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act (504/2002). Before starting the position, the candidate must submit a medical certificate of health status (Act on Municipal and Wellbeing Area Officials 7 §). We apply a probationary period of up to 6 months for employment relationships. We follow the law regarding vaccination protection, requiring vaccination against infectious diseases.
