As a Software Engineering – Senior Mainframe Developer, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions. Using design documentation and functional programming specifications, you will be responsible for implementing identified components. You will ensure that implemented components are appropriately documented, tested, and ready for integration into the final product. You will have the opportunity to architect the solution, test the code, and deploy. Who You Are You are customer-focused, prioritizing customer success in your work. You adopt a client-facing and consultative approach, ensuring that you understand and address client needs effectively. You have client exposure and experience, which enables you to navigate client interactions with ease. And, you are open and borderless, naturally inclusive in how you collaborate with others. Required Technical and Professional Experience At least 7 years of experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects. Excellent coding skills and solid development experience with Mainframe technologies (e.g. Cobol, JCL), debugging and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with Agile methodologies. Ability to understand the big picture. Good collaboration and communication skills. Proficiency in English. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience Strong financial expertise such as accounts and deposit. Proficiency in Finnish language. A security background check may be performed for those selected to Samlink positions, in accordance with the company recruitment guidelines and the Security Clearance Act.
