I am recruiting in Coventry for a Network Engineer who will be responsible for the design, delivery, optimisation and support of secure, resilient network infrastructure across operational environments. The role delivers measurable impact across customer, operational, project and service activities, with accountability for programme-level outcomes where applicable. The Network Engineer plays a key role in shaping, securing and optimising networks that underpin high‑ availability and business critical services. Responsibilities include providing 2nd line network support, designing, deploying, configuring, and supporting LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD‑WAN, and datacenter networks, managing Cisco and Fortinet platforms, performing routine maintenance, monitoring network performance, supporting project delivery, ensuring security compliance, and producing technical documentation. The candidate should have strong networking fundamentals, hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet, supporting WLAN, VPNs, firewalls, and network security, troubleshooting skills, and experience in multi-site or critical environments. Personal attributes include good communication, self-motivation, calmness, research willingness, teamwork, stakeholder management, analytical skills, agility, decision-making, and risk management. Compliance standards include ITIL, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, Cyber essentials, and ISO 14001. The role is based in Coventry, UK, with a salary of £30,000–£35,000 per year plus benefits.
