We are seeking a SPECIAL CLASS TEACHER The City of Kuusamo is looking for a special class teacher for a fixed-term position from August 1, 2026, to June 5, 2027. The primary placement is at Nilo School, in the unit providing intensive foster care. The special class teacher is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating education for primary school students or adult students of primary school age, considering individual support needs. We require good interaction and teamwork skills, as well as knowledge of upper secondary school subjects. The selected candidate is expected to follow the curriculum and possess good ICT skills. The special class teacher actively participates in multidisciplinary network cooperation with various stakeholders. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic special class teacher. The working hours are at least according to the teaching obligation. Qualifications are based on the decree on the qualifications of education personnel (986/1998, § 5). Experience in demanding learning support tasks in basic education is an advantage. The selected candidate must provide an acceptable medical certificate of health and a criminal record extract as required by law (504/2002) within 30 days of receiving the employment decision.
