We are now seeking a HEALTHCARE SPECIALIST for a full-time position starting from August 1, 2026, or according to agreement - until July 31, 2028, or as agreed. What kind of person are we looking for? We seek a healthcare specialist who can respectfully engage with people, listen genuinely, and apply their skills in a way that resonates with the listener. An athletic background is considered an advantage, but the most important qualities are initiative and a desire to develop our operations. You are the right person if you can work in a multidisciplinary team, find solutions amid unfinished tasks, and use your communication skills to build bridges and develop activities. We require: Degree as a physiotherapist, naprapath, or osteopath. Interest in evidence-based work methods and top-level sports. Good IT skills for managing modern load data and statistics. Willingness to settle in Ruka-Kuusamo environment and travel readiness for camps and competitions. Previous experience in physical training, understanding of coaching processes, and numerical skills beneficial for working with alpine disciplines are considered an advantage. What will you do? You will work in Kuusamo with selection and elite athletes. The main sports include alpine disciplines (alpine skiing, freeski, snowboarding), volleyball, and ice hockey. Your responsibilities include: Supporting coaching: Participating in training planning through regular meetings and engaging in physical training as part of the coaching team. You will also systematically update the situation in the slopes regarding the demands of the sports and contribute to the development of coaching processes using researched information. Managing load and data: Monitoring training load (impact, running distances, sport-specific training) as agreed, and responsible for data management and developing coaching process monitoring. Injury prevention and rehabilitation: Planning coaching processes with coaches, athletes, and specialists. Responsible for systematic assessment of concussions with baseline measurements and monitoring progress post-injury. Working as part of the OVK Vuokatti-Ruka expert team. Maintaining close contact with the physiotherapist responsible at Vuokatti-Ruka and the Finnish Olympic Committee’s expert network, and contributing to the development of activities.
