Come and do meaningful work in the field of child protection! We are now looking for a counselor (Bachelor of Applied Sciences) to join the Sospro Niittylinnan team in Mynämäki. The position is permanent and can start as soon as possible. Sospro Niittylinnan is a comprehensive child protection facility located in Mynämäki, providing 24-hour residential care. The center includes two specialized units with seven beds each, Verso and Nuppu, as well as a basic level residential unit, Hovilinna. We are now looking for someone specifically for Hovilinna! Hovilinna is a home-like seven-bed basic level children's home in Mynämäki. It offers a home for children over 10 years old who need strong professional support for their growth and assistance with school-related challenges. Read more about us on Sospro's website: https://sospro.fi/toimipisteet/lastensuojelukeskus-hovilinna/hovilinna/ Your tasks as a counselor include: acting as a reliable mentor and responsible adult for the young person, bringing your expertise to the entire team based on your educational background, collaborating with the young person's parents, school, and other networks, participating actively in reporting, evaluating, and developing the quality of care within your team. We offer support for your work, professional development, and well-being: a work community based on individual acceptance and mutual trust, support from a respectful and enabling supervisor, an organization that is open-minded and courageous in development, evidence-based work methods and work-oriented continuing education through tailored training paths in collaboration with TAMK and Sospro Academy, salary corresponding to G23D level (€2,723.92–€2,969.00). In addition to shift allowances, you may receive personal and task-specific allowances (€50–€160/month), comprehensive occupational health services and accident insurance during free time, well-being benefit (€400/year), various initiatives to recognize staff and organize joint events, and an incentive bonus system that offers an extra motivation based on success, to be used for team well-being and recreation. We expect from you: at least a Bachelor of Applied Sciences degree in social services, health care, or education (e.g., social pedagogue, nurse, community pedagogue, physiotherapist, occupational therapist). Experience or internship in child protection is a definite advantage. A flexible and active professional interested in working with young people, with experience in mental health and substance abuse work considered a plus. The work includes evening, night, and weekend shifts, and the employment is permanent with a 6-month probation period. The position requires a hygiene passport, B driver’s license, and a valid social and health care professional license. The employment contract follows the Private Social Services Sector Collective Agreement.
