We are looking for a part-time (82.35%) SCHOOL ASSISTANT for Järvenpää City at Kartanon School. The weekly working hours are 31 hours and 30 minutes. In this role, the school assistant works as a general school assistant in a unified school, including working in the school's afternoon club. Kartanon School is a comprehensive school with approximately 900 students. The school offers general education classes, small groups for special support, and preparatory classes for basic education. Qualifications A person with a school assistant qualification or other equivalent education in care, youth, or education fields, such as guidance in school, morning and afternoon activities, practical nurse, youth and leisure instructor, or other suitable education. Employment terms - The employment is fixed-term from August 11, 2026, to April 30, 2027. - Contract area: KVTES - The task-specific salary is based on the complexity of the role and experience. - The general education school assistant level salary is 2403.43 €/month. - Part-time (82.35%) salary is 1979.22 €/month. - Additional experience-based pay according to the collective agreement, up to 8% of the task-specific salary, is paid when earned. - The trial period is half the duration of the fixed-term employment. - The selected candidate must submit a criminal record extract as per law no. 504/2002 regarding working with children. - Järvenpää uses an annual working hours system.
