The Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Service Area organizes residential services for the elderly, disabled, mental health and substance abuse clients, as well as child protection clients. The service forms include 24-hour, short-term, communal, and supported housing. At Kultakodit, our task is to provide 24-hour residential services for elderly clients. As a practical nurse: - You are a familiar and reassuring caregiver who takes comprehensive care of clients' wellbeing. - You utilize your professional skills in caregiving, nurturing, and medication administration. - You are a valuable part of a multidisciplinary work community. Our operations at Kultakodit are based on supporting clients' participation in meaningful and lively life. We organize events and recreational activities together with clients. These include art, music, physical activities, outdoor events, trips, and celebrations. In addition to healthcare professionals, we employ auxiliary staff who handle tasks related to meals, cleaning, and laundry. The employment begins according to agreement. Workplaces: Kultakodit, Ojamonkatu 34, B-entrance, 98100 Lohja. Working hours: shift work 114 h 45 min / 3 weeks. The position is permanent. Qualifications: The holder of the Practical Nurse title must have the right to use the protected professional title suitable for the role. We require good written and spoken Finnish skills, valid medication rights or completion of training, and an interest in promoting the wellbeing of elderly clients, flexibility, and the ability to operate in changing client situations. The role requires vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and tuberculosis screening according to Section 55 of the same act. Selected candidates may be asked to provide a substance abuse certificate in accordance with the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Service Area's drug policy. From January 1, 2024, onwards, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract necessary for working with elderly persons, in accordance with law 741/2023, Section 28. Experience working with substance abuse or mental health clients is appreciated. Experience in caring for and supporting residents with memory diseases is considered an advantage.
