Become a counselor in early childhood education in Kyrkslätt - make a difference every day! Do you want to work closely with children, families, and colleagues and make an impact early on? The municipality of Kyrkslätt is now seeking a counselor in early childhood education for the results unit support for growth and learning. The position is a fixed-term employment from August 3, 2026, to July 31, 2027. In this role, you work preventively and community-strengthening to promote children's well-being, learning, and socio-emotional development. You meet children in their daily environment through work in groups, supervise staff, provide support and guidance to guardians, and participate in networks and multidisciplinary cooperation. You play an important role in early identification of support needs and contributing to appropriate interventions. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues in early childhood education and with the Western Uusimaa welfare area, including advisory and therapeutic services. You help strengthen staff competence and create equal opportunities for all children, with particular focus on children in vulnerable situations and children with diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. You will be part of a dedicated team with counselors in early childhood education, psychologists, and language and culture teachers. We are looking for someone who: - is a social worker (YH) - has an interest in early childhood education and child development - preferably has experience working with children and families - is cooperative, flexible, and development-oriented. Qualifications are determined according to the Act on Early Childhood Education (L540/2018). Salary and employment conditions are determined according to the general collective agreement for the municipal sector (AKTA). The trial period for this fixed-term employment is six months.
