Senior Back-end Developer, Provisioning - Verda - Etätyö - Globaali

Join Verda while it’s still being built - not once it’s finished! Your responsibilities You’ll contribute to building a sovereign European cloud, working on core systems that power our platform. A key focus will be developing our next-generation provisioning system - designed from the ground up for performance, reliability, and scale. You’ll build integrations with globally renowned vendors and play an active role in evolving our services - whether that means refactoring existing systems, extending capabilities, or building entirely new ones. Your key competencies 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer Proficiency with Go and Python, plus any other programming language, solid software engineering fundamentals Experience designing and building scalable, high-performance systems Good understanding of SQL databases and data modeling Comfortable working in GNU/Linux environments (virtualization, networking, filesystems) Experience with distributed systems and/or cloud infrastructure Familiarity with Kubernetes and DevOps practices is a plus Personal skills You take pride in building high-quality systems and owning your work You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams You think critically, challenge assumptions, and take initiative You’re naturally curious and driven to learn - not because you have to, but because you want to.
