There are two fixed-term positions for EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION CHILDCARE WORKERS at Vesala Daycare Center for the 2026 - 2027 season. Vesala Daycare Center is part of Vesala Multi-purpose House. The same building houses a daycare, school, and youth services. Vesala Daycare Center serves children aged 0-6 years and has a preschool group. The number and size of groups vary annually according to the number of children; currently, there are three groups. Vesala Multi-purpose House offers excellent outdoor sports and hiking opportunities thanks to the riverbank learning gardens, campfire sites, and nearby forests. The multi-purpose house allows us to utilize facilities for skills and arts subjects as well as the Fablab space. Our community operates daily with a sense of togetherness, exemplified by Vesala Open activities and a shared STEAM learning pathway with the school. At Vesala, everyone works together! The qualification requirement for an EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION CHILDCARE WORKER is based on the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, Section 28), considering the transitional provisions for personnel under the same law (Section 75). A basic qualification in social and health care is required, with specialization studies in children and youth. Additional skills such as sign language, MAPA training, and medication training are considered an advantage. The salary for the early childhood education childcare worker position is between €2,456.83 and €2,567.07, based on the job grading system and the level of skills and responsibilities. The actual salary consists of the task-specific pay and possible other level-based allowances according to the Collective Agreement. Before accepting the position, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract issued in accordance with the Act on Background Checks for Persons Working with Children (504/2002). According to the Infectious Diseases Act (Section 55), the employer is responsible for requiring a reliable statement that the employee or trainee does not have active tuberculosis before starting work.
