We are seeking an electrical engineering specialist for the role of owner’s engineer in industrial electrical projects within the Despro Owners Engineering team. The role emphasizes data centers and industrial facilities' medium and high-voltage systems, including connections, substations, power distribution, monitoring, and client construction and project management tasks, focusing on technical supervision, procurement support, and implementation monitoring. As part of our Owners Engineering team, you will have experience working in an industrial environment and be eager to contribute to some of the most significant energy projects in Finland and the Nordic countries. As an owner’s engineer, you will act as the client’s technical expert and advocate throughout the project lifecycle, from preliminary studies to implementation, commissioning, and maintenance support. This position can be performed from any Despro office, with flexible remote work options available. Responsibilities include acting as the client’s electrical engineering expert in industrial electrical projects (KJ/SJ) from procurement to operation and maintenance. Evaluate EPC, design, and equipment supplier proposals and solutions, as well as implementation possibilities. Participate in project schedule, cost, and risk management as part of construction and project management. Monitor design and implementation progress and ensure technical requirements are met both at the office and on-site. Participate in FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities. We expect you to have strong electrical engineering expertise in an industrial environment, e.g., data centers or industrial facilities’ electrical systems (KJ/SJ). Hold relevant education (Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering). Have experience with electrical networks, construction, renewable energy sources, or industrial environments. Be capable of representing the client and managing projects independently. Possess good communication skills and fluent Finnish language skills. Be adaptable and willing to work in a fast-paced environment, with a quick learning ability. It is also advantageous if you have proficiency in English and the ability to read and produce technical documents in Finnish and English. Are familiar with Fingrid and distribution network companies’ (DSO/TSO) processes. Have experience in EPC, design, or supervision tasks. Have experience with commissioning, testing, and verification. Have project management or construction experience. Hold electrical safety and work safety cards. Why Despro?
