The city of Heinola's Lyseonmäki School is continuously recruiting for short-term substitute positions for teachers and school assistants. Lyseonmäki School, also known as Lyska, is Heinola's only lower secondary school. Lyska has 485 students. There are 52 teachers and 11 other teaching staff. We are constantly in need of substitutes for school assistants, subject teachers, and special education teachers. Substitutes may range from one day to several weeks. Apply for substitute positions by filling out an application form where you tell us about yourself and the types of tasks you are interested in. After submitting your application, we will contact you if a suitable position is available. Before starting the substitute work, we will hold an interview to define the tasks you will undertake. Substitutes must be at least 18 years old. In the absence of qualified substitutes, those without qualifications may also be considered. Attitude, skills, and the ability to work with young people are important qualities for substitutes. The duration of substitutes varies, but there is a high demand for quickly available substitutes. Substitutes must present a criminal record extract issued under the Act on Background Checks for Persons Working with Children (504/2002). Please note that you cannot apply for positions that are open in the city's external recruitment (permanent positions and longer-term substitutes) with this application. Substitute applications for spring 2026 have been completed. You can submit an application for the 2026-2027 school year; we will process these by August 2026.
