Vantaa City, Sector of Corporate Management and Vitality, Service Area of Municipal Democracy. Asematie 7, 01300 Vantaa. Employment duration: Permanent, until 03.08.2026 or as agreed. We are seeking an administration specialist for a permanent position in the decision preparation team within the municipal democracy service area. As an administration specialist, you will perform versatile expert tasks supporting the city's administration, decision-making, and committee work. Your duties include preparing decisions for the city’s highest bodies—the City Council, City Board, and its committees—drafting agendas and minutes, as well as communication, information, and advisory services to elected officials. The role also involves developing and coordinating elected officials' activities and decision-making. Participation in committee meetings is an essential part of the work; some meetings are held in the evening. The decision preparation team is part of the Legal Affairs and Decision Preparation Service Unit within the Municipal Democracy Service Area. The team includes a responsible administration specialist, three administration specialists, two administrative secretaries, and a service secretary. Besides decision preparation, the unit handles legal affairs, data protection, translation, and issues related to equality and non-discrimination. The service area also includes a Administrative Services Unit, Data Management Unit, and Security Team. We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds. Eligibility requirement: Suitable higher university degree. In addition to the qualification, we require: excellent written and spoken Finnish skills and satisfactory written and spoken Swedish skills. Terms of employment are governed by the Local Government Collective Agreement (KVTES). Salary: 3536.25 euros/month, with possible additional based on previous work experience. Number of positions: 1. Trial period: 6 months. Full-time/part-time: Full-time. Type of employment: Employment contract. Working hours: 36 hours 15 minutes per week.
