This internship is part of the Nature, Climate and Energy (NCE) portfolio which promotes sustainable development solutions, integrated natural resource management, climate action, energy transition and environmental protection. Objectives: provide technical support to the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of NCE projects; contribute to technical monitoring and regulatory intelligence, administrative support, and production of strategic documents in the areas of renewable energy, climate, environment and sustainable development. Main responsibilities include project management support (planning, implementation, and reporting of energy, environment and sustainable development activities; administrative follow-up), consultancy and contractual management (tracking consultants, contracts and deadlines; review and commenting on consultant deliverables), research and analytical writing (documentary research, case studies, analyses on sustainable energy, climate transition, environmental management and development), communications and advocacy (preparing/updating technical communication materials; organizing webinars/workshops; drafting meeting minutes), and knowledge management (identifying best practices, lessons learned and partnership opportunities; monitoring funding opportunities). Profile: Master’s degree in energy, environment, sustainable development or a related technical field; at least one year experience in renewables, energy efficiency, environmental policies, climate strategy and sustainable development; strong research, analytical, synthesis and writing skills; rigor and teamwork; fluent French (written and spoken); English an asset; IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, collaboration tools). Deliverables: monitoring and analysis reports; conceptual and thematic/technical notes; reviews of consultant reports; contributions to articles and web seminars; meeting minutes; capitalization dossiers; other deliverables depending on projects. Practical details: the intern will work under direct supervision of the Programme Analyst and Programme Specialist of the NCE portfolio and under indirect supervision of the Representative to the Resident Coordinator; timeframe and grant arrangements to be specified in the internship agreement.
