We are seeking a versatile special education teacher for a fixed-term position at Kirstin Daycare. We have 7 different groups for children aged 1-6 years. Our unit operates with the Lveo model, and your work partner will be an experienced versatile special education teacher. We also have a language and culture teacher supporting the groups, as well as a social worker part-time during the month. The work of a special education teacher in early childhood education is diverse and stimulating. Together with other educational staff, you will plan, implement, evaluate, and develop early childhood education pedagogics for children requiring support in our units. The goal is to support children's participation in group activities, foster success experiences, and enable inclusion within the child group. Our daily activities are guided by the Espoo early childhood education plan and the national early childhood education plan. Observation, documentation, continuous assessment, and development are integral parts of everyone’s work. As a special education teacher, you will be responsible for the pedagogical implementation within your team, working alongside other professionals. You will also serve as a team leader and pedagogical partner to the early childhood education unit manager, allowing you to apply your professional expertise collaboratively with the entire community. Qualifications: Qualification in early childhood education according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) Qualification as an early childhood education teacher. Additionally, completed studies providing professional skills for special education tasks. or Master of Education with a major in special pedagogy (early childhood special education training). Applicants who are about to graduate in early childhood special education are also considered. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as per the Criminal Records Act, section 6.2. The Infectious Diseases Act requires those working with preschool children to clarify the risk of tuberculosis transmission. We value experience in a broad role as a special education teacher in early childhood education. Experience in multicultural environments is also appreciated.
