The Education and Training Department of the City of Kerava is recruiting for a permanent class teacher position (no. 062) starting from August 1, 2026. The workplace at the start of employment is Savio School, a diverse and inclusive school with approximately 430 students. The school educates students from preschool to ninth grade, and is staffed by about 65 personnel. The school building is traditional and located near good transportation links, next to the train station. Our school's vision is: "Individual paths to becoming future makers." Both children and adults are future makers at our school. The adults' role is to support, encourage, and guide children through pedagogical activities. Your tasks will include Are you interested in team teaching, collaborative learning, and developing skills-based assessment? We are looking for an enthusiastic class teacher to join our team-based community, where you will plan and implement teaching as part of a grade-level team. In planning, we utilize flexible teaching arrangements between general and special education, as well as diverse teaching methods, materials, and the local environment. We aim to strengthen students' skills and participation through methods such as deep learning, strength-based education, home group pedagogy, and restorative practices. Salary and other terms of employment are determined according to OVTES. A six-month probation period applies.
