Welcome to the Diagnostic Center for practical nurse duties in Kymenlaakso, working with high-quality diagnostic services! HUS Diagnostic Center is Finland's leading provider of clinical laboratory and imaging services. Our main area of operation is the specialized healthcare of the HUS consortium and primary healthcare within the well-being areas belonging to HUS. We also manage laboratory and imaging operations for the Kymenlaakso and South Karelia well-being areas. We operate across eight medical specialties. We are responsible for several nationally specialized examinations, as well as research and teaching at university hospitals. Diagnostic examinations play a central role in confirming, ruling out, treating, monitoring, and screening for diseases. The Diagnostic Center employs approximately 3,500 laboratory and imaging professionals across over 170 locations. We have an opportunity to offer a fixed-term practical nurse position in the Diagnostic Center's radiology department in Kymenlaakso, Kotka, from 8 July 2026 to 1 April 2027. Work in the Diagnostic Center's radiology unit offers practical nurses a challenging and diverse role in a multidisciplinary work community. Tasks may include assisting with ultrasound examinations, working as part of a computed tomography and/or magnetic resonance imaging team, and working at the radiology customer service point. The work involves shift work. Please include in your cover letter your relevant work experience and any special expertise in radiology. The practical nurse's task-specific salary is €2,870 per month, with possible experience and other allowances. Experience-based salary supplements of up to 8% of the task-specific salary can be granted, and we also have a performance-based pay system that offers the opportunity to significantly increase your monthly income. Qualifications for the position: - Practical nurse qualification. - Previous experience in radiology, including computed tomography and/or magnetic resonance imaging, is an advantage. - Completed limited IV permit. - Previous experience in radiology administrative tasks is an advantage. We require vaccination against infectious diseases for those working in customer and patient areas, and health status verification for those working in healthcare units, including tuberculosis screening.
