We are looking for a Construction Engineer at Terrafame in Sotkamo to strengthen the planning and project team in infrastructure construction supervision tasks. The role involves overseeing construction and installation works within your specialty, ensuring work progresses according to plans, schedules, and quality requirements. The job requires close cooperation with project managers, designers, partner companies, and equipment suppliers. You will play a key role in ensuring safety, quality, and smoothness in demanding mining and process industry construction projects. Responsibilities include supervising installation and construction works, ensuring safety and quality standards, onboarding and monitoring partner companies, preparing supervision documentation, forecasting construction schedules and plans, and reacting to plan deviations. Requirements include experience in dam construction, earthworks, drainage, and mining infrastructure projects, understanding of bulk material handling, stabilization, tanks, and foundation structures, and preferably certifications such as INFRA skills marks, Taitorakenne qualification, or geotechnical expertise. We expect you to have a suitable technical education (technician, vocational, or university degree), at least 5 years of experience in similar supervision tasks in industrial construction or installation projects, initiative, firm work attitude, good cooperation skills, ability to work independently and as part of a project team, readiness to actively supervise safety and quality, ability to see the big picture and document precisely. Experience in mining or process industry projects, design, and EPCM or contract-based projects is an advantage.
