You are our new project engineer? The city of Kankaanpää invests annually in buildings, water supply, and municipal engineering. The project engineer plays a central role in implementing these investment projects. We are looking for a motivated and responsible professional who wants to lead investment projects from planning to practical implementation. Success in this role requires a systematic work approach, good interaction skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. In your work, you will collaborate closely with various city departments, contractors, designers, authorities, and other stakeholders. Your tasks include, among others: guiding the planning of investment projects, tendering projects and contracts, managing project entities, preparing decision-making matters, documenting and monitoring projects, managing cost and quality objectives, preparing planning and contract documents, reporting and cooperating with authorities, coordinating maintenance and renovation construction projects. The project engineer works in cooperation with the facilities manager and the water supply manager and also participates in the development of the sector and the preparation of various plans and reports. The qualification requirement is a suitable (energy and environmental technology or construction and urban engineering) university of applied sciences engineer or technician degree or a previous engineer or construction master degree. The applicant is expected to have experience in municipal decision-making, procurement processes, tendering, and project management. Good skills in digital tools are required.
