Tehtävänkuvaus
Raahe is a resilient harbor city with residents and businesses, living and breathing in harmony with the sea that surrounds it. It is a small, vibrant city in nature's embrace, where contrasts coexist. The maritime environment and beautiful archipelago offer excellent outdoor and recreational opportunities. For families with children, the city is a safe place to live, with well-maintained basic services. We are seeking a permanent early childhood education teacher for Antinkangas Daycare Center, starting August 1, 2026. The teacher should be willing to work with children of different ages. Pre-primary education qualification is considered an advantage. As an early childhood education teacher, you will lead your own pedagogical team in early childhood education work, and together with your team members, ensure the delivery of high-quality early childhood education in your child group. You will play a significant role in developing the entire daycare's pedagogical approach in collaboration with other early childhood education teachers and the daycare director. Your duties include close cooperation with staff, guardians, and other partners. We expect from you: Knowledge of documents guiding early childhood education and pre-primary education, Sufficient proficiency in Finnish, Good pedagogical skills, Leadership skills for team management, Good cooperation and interaction skills, Ability to sensitively engage with children. We value an enthusiastic, positive, and developmental work attitude, as well as skills related to emotional and interactional methods. The eligibility requirement for the position is a qualification as an early childhood education teacher, with conditions determined by the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) sections 26 or 27 and transitional provisions of section 75. In the absence of qualified applicants, the position may be filled temporarily by a person without the required degree. The selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract according to Act 504/2002 and a tuberculosis statement according to Section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act before starting employment. Employment terms are governed by the municipal teaching staff collective agreement (OVTES). A six (6) month probation period applies.
