Opinto-ohjaaja, Lahti-Kouvola - Kiipulasäätiö

We are hiring a guidance counselor for Kiipula Vocational College. You will work as a guidance counselor at the Lahti (main office) and Kouvola locations, as well as in a consultative role at the Vantaa location. The guidance counselor's tasks include marketing and information duties during the application phase, providing consultancy in planning the completion of qualifications in collaboration with subject teachers, and developing individual pathways for completing qualifications. Your responsibilities include providing guidance to students at various stages of their studies, supporting student engagement, well-being, and study pathways. Qualifications require compliance with the criteria set out in the decree 986/1998 on the qualifications of teaching staff. A qualification in guidance counseling is required. A vocational special education teacher qualification and experience in qualification-oriented education are considered an advantage. We value experience in guiding and teaching students with demanding special support needs. The role requires an active, developmental, and independent approach, strong general IT skills, and good teamwork skills. The employment is full-time and permanent, starting from August 1, 2026. The salary is based on a collective agreement, and other employment terms are governed by the private education sector collective agreement. The position includes a six-month probation period.
