We are seeking a specialist doctor for the outpatient psychiatric competence center in the Kontinkangas responsibility unit. In the Kontinkangas responsibility unit, you will work at the level of specialized psychiatric outpatient care as part of a skilled and multidisciplinary team. Your tasks As a specialist doctor, you will be responsible for implementing multidisciplinary examinations and treatments, and actively participate in consultative work. You will consult with primary care doctors and serve as an expert support in various situations. Your duties also include onboarding, guiding, and training resident doctors. The role includes on-call duties. This is a responsible and impactful role, offering the opportunity to work broadly in specialized psychiatric outpatient care. Handling the tasks requires versatile clinical expertise. We expect the successful candidate to have good teamwork skills, an interest in developing operations, flexibility, and strong communication skills, as well as proficiency in Finnish, both spoken and written. The eligibility requirement for the specialist doctor position is a license or authorization to practice medicine as regulated by the Act on Healthcare Professionals (559/94) and the qualification as a specialist in psychiatry. We will verify original diplomas and employment certificates during the interview. Applicants must be registered in the register maintained by the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira) (Terhikki and/or Suosikki). The selected candidate must provide a medical statement of health before starting the position (Act on Municipal and Wellbeing Services County and Wellbeing Services Area Officials 7 §). We apply a probationary period of up to 6 months for employment relationships. Regarding staff vaccinations, we follow the vaccination requirements under the law and infectious disease law.
