A fixed-term position for an EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION SOCIAL WORKER is available at Kuivasranta Daycare Center from August 3, 2026, to December 23, 2026. The role involves responsibilities of an early childhood education social worker in a group for children under 3 years old. Kuivasranta Daycare Center implements outdoor pedagogy with the "Half a Day Outside" concept and small group activities. The entire local environment serves as a learning setting. Qualifications for an early childhood education social worker include compliance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, Section 27), considering the transitional provisions (Section 75). The qualification requirement is at least a degree in social services or health care from a university of applied sciences, including at least 60 ECTS credits in early childhood education and social pedagogy, or a social worker degree supplemented with these studies. The salary for this position is based on the job-specific pay system and levels of competence and responsibility, ranging from €2,802.60 to €2,895.99. The actual salary consists of a job-specific base pay and possible additional levels according to the collective agreement KVTES. Before starting the position, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as per the Act on Background Checks for Persons Working with Children (504/2002). According to the Infectious Diseases Act (Section 55), the employer is responsible for requesting a reliable statement that the employee or trainee does not have active tuberculosis before starting work. This must be done prior to signing the employment contract. The position includes a trial period. Applications are primarily submitted via the electronic application form.
