We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to strengthen the growing team in Vaasa for a permanent, full-time position. The role involves a hybrid work model, requiring presence at the client’s premises twice a week. Detailed job description In the role of Senior Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing products and equipment in various product development projects. The work covers all phases of the design process, from product concept ideation to technical implementation, utilizing modern 3D design software. You will design customer-specific technical solutions in collaboration with Creo Center’s experts and clients. The variety of client projects makes mechanical design work diverse and continuously presents new challenges. As a senior-level expert, you will work independently on technical solutions, actively participate in customer collaboration, and support and guide other designers as needed. If you have experience in project management roles, the role can be tailored more towards project management. Requirements for success include broad experience in mechanical design and product development, experience with 3D CAD design software and PDM/PLM systems, relevant technical university degree, ability to work with clients and good interpersonal skills, fluent Finnish and English language skills, knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods, experience in project and product management, and willingness to travel as needed for projects. Preferred qualifications include electrical engineering skills and Swedish language skills.
