Join us as a permanent special education assistant in early childhood education. Your workplace for the upcoming term will be Ullanmäki Daycare Center. The placement may be reassessed each spring, and the position may transfer between units within Espoo's early childhood education as needed. The daycare is a small, cozy house with two groups. Ullanmäki Daycare Center is located near good transportation links, close to Koivuhovi train stop. Group-specific special education assistants mainly work during daytime shifts. Your future team will include child caregivers and early childhood education teachers. We also collaborate across multiple disciplines between our child groups. The work community consists of five educators and a support staff member. The role of a special education assistant is diverse and engaging. You will actively participate in the activities of the child group alongside other staff members. Your duties include assisting during meals and dressing, as well as participating in outdoor activities with children. You enjoy working with children, and positive interaction is important to you. Group-specific special education assistants mainly work during daytime shifts. Our work community and clients are multicultural, and we value your language skills. If Finnish is your second language, you will have the opportunity to participate in free Finnish language training during working hours—soon, the early childhood education vocabulary will become familiar to you. We appreciate versatile skills, and experience from various backgrounds is beneficial. You could be switching careers. We will provide training for all new employees. Working hours: 38 hours 15 minutes per week. This workplace is accessible. Qualifications: Suitable vocational qualification or other relevant education. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as per the Criminal Records Act, section 6.2.
