We are looking for park nannies for temporary replacements in playgrounds. Park nanny activities involve outdoor activities, play, and social interaction, organized outdoors such as in parks, playgrounds, or natural environments. The activities are intended for preschoolers and school-aged children who spend time under supervision without parents, but in the company of safe and trained adults. As a social enterprise, our park nanny activities: - Employ child care professionals who may not be part of the public early childhood education sector (e.g., part-time workers, retirees, students in the field). - Provide valuable social services to families and children, promoting children's well-being, parental resilience, and community spirit. - Revenue is used for maintaining activities, equipment, and training, not for shareholder profits. - Are local and community-oriented, supporting regional social networking. Basic features of park nanny activities: - Two adult supervisors (park nannies) responsible for children's safety and activity implementation. - Supervisors have training or work experience in child guidance, early childhood education, practical nursing, or related fields. - Criminal background checks are verified as required by law. Activities include: - Outdoor movement and play - Games, nature activities, singing, and creative activities - Practice in group work and interaction. Park nanny activities offer parents a safe and developmental care and companionship for their children when they need time for work, study, errands, exercise, or rest. The cost is lower than municipal daycare, and the activities can be seen as an alternative to part-time early childhood education, especially for families not requiring full-day care. We expect from you: - Enjoy singing, playing, and outdoor activities regardless of weather - Education or work experience with children - Clean criminal background check and good health suitable for outdoor physical work, including lifting children, assisting with swings and slides, and sudden movements - Availability on weekdays Mon-Fri between 7 am and 2 pm, approximately 5 hours per day We offer you: - Membership in the well-being sector organization Hali ry - Salary according to the social services sector collective agreement: approximately €12.54 per hour - Hourly work, approximately 25 hours per week - Comprehensive occupational health services - Staff benefits, such as holiday cottages in Airisto, Laukaa, and Kuusamo (Ruka) - Work support: an office handling all contract and customer service matters, and an app providing weather forecasts - Annual training days covering safety, first aid for children, outdoor singing, and games.
