Ongoing role description written for this vacancy: The Kierrätyskeskus is offering work trial opportunities for unemployed job seekers to support their return to work. The duration is 3–6 months and there are no hourly or seasonal positions. The work trial areas are technical workshops where participants can learn and update their skills in electronics and electrical device repair. Tasks include inspecting and repairing donated household electronics (small appliances, consumer electronics, AV equipment, lighting) for reuse and sale in shops. Language of work is Finnish; candidates should have at least functional Finnish speaking and everyday communication skills. Training is provided, and onboarding will be in Finnish. Some participants may continue after the trial with wage subsidies or Helsinki supplement, subject to eligibility checked with local employment services. The role involves handling SER sorting, order processing in stores, packaging of electrical devices for shipments, and cleaning tasks for devices for those with no electrical background, under supervision and with initial training. The weekly working time is 32.5 hours. There is potential to take part in job coaching and to complete parts of studies in logistics, business, or environmental studies during the trial. Applications must be written in Finnish. There are no paid hourly or seasonal positions available.
