Structural Designer, Ramboll (multiple locations) Are you a structural designer with some previous design experience who would like to work on a varied range of construction projects? At Ramboll, you will design projects ranging from residential apartment buildings to industrial facilities. The role suits someone early in their career; the most important things are relevant education, good structural engineering skills and the motivation to grow in the role. Role description As a structural designer, you will work in project teams where projects and working days vary. One project may be extensive and involve a lot of repetitive design work, while the next may be a smaller, faster-paced assignment. The work combines preparing plans, working with building information models and calculating structures. At the beginning of your career, you will mainly focus on the design tasks assigned to you, and your responsibilities will expand as your skills develop. The size and nature of projects vary, so the work also changes depending on the project. We are looking for We are looking for a structural designer with some previous experience in structural design and a desire to take the next step in developing their skills. The role is suitable for you if you want to design different kinds of buildings and do not want to be confined to an overly narrow specialisation. We expect you to have: Relevant education in the construction sector (MSc in Technology or a university of applied sciences engineering degree) Preferably around 2–5 years of structural design experience Good structural engineering skills Building information modelling skills, for example with Tekla Structures and/or Revit Familiarity with CAD and calculation software A customer-oriented and collaborative approach to work Fluent Finnish is essential for the role, and good English is needed. Swedish language skills are an advantage. If a client project requires it, a security clearance may be carried out during employment. An approved security clearance is a condition for continuing employment.
