Join Avustajasi Validia Oy and help create your life story! We are now looking for personal assistants in the Vaasa area. How would meaningful and valuable work with working hours that suit you sound? Would you like to gain a perspective on care work, or are you looking for something to do during retirement in calm conditions, one client at a time? Come join us! As a personal assistant, you become part of our clients' valuable stories. At Validia, clients receiving personal assistance are people covered by disability services. Personal assistance means helping at home or outside the home with things a person cannot do themselves because of illness or disability. Assistance may involve supporting hobbies or studies, household tasks, or making leisure activities possible. Sometimes the assistant's most important task is to be someone to talk to and keep company: an unhurried person for another person. The personal assistant has an important role in the client's everyday life. The aim is to support and enable living at home for as long as possible, provide the opportunity for an active and meaningful everyday life, and respect the client's right to self-determination. The work suits you if you want variety and occasional work: tasks are performed according to the client's needs and wishes. You can also influence the timing of your shifts by agreeing on them with the client. You work independently and commit to agreed practices. An open attitude and your own personality go a long way! Thanks to the flexibility, the work can provide additional income for students and pensioners alike. We do not require relevant education or work experience, but these are considered an advantage. We offer you: - Pay according to the collective agreement: Private social services collective agreement, pay grade G16A. - Flexible working hours. - The opportunity to learn about disability work and the care sector. - Induction according to your skills. - Support from a professional work community with a sense of humour. - The opportunity to find employment in other social and healthcare roles through further studies. We hope you have a genuine interest in assistance work, a positive and cheerful attitude, and a desire to learn new things and develop in your work. Sufficient Finnish language skills are required; other language skills are considered an advantage. We require vaccination protection under section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis assessment under section 55. We also check the criminal records extract in accordance with the Act on the Supervision of Social Welfare and Health Care. Please submit your details through the application form. New workers are needed for personal assistance roles as our client base grows. We will contact applicants when the applicant's and client's needs and wishes match. Please complete your application carefully. If you need more information about the role, contact us by email at hkapuhr@validia.fi. Recruitment process We focus on making recruitment fair and ensuring your skills can shine. This recruitment uses a Hubert.ai AI interview. After submitting your application, you will be invited to a chat-based interview with our virtual recruitment assistant Hubert. The interview takes approximately 15–20 minutes and you can complete it at a time that suits you. We recommend starting soon so recruitment can proceed smoothly. The AI-based interview is only a support tool; a person makes all final assessments and decisions. Before the interview, you can read the linked article for tips and practical advice on preparing for your first Hubert interview. Avustajasi Validia Oy is part of Validia.
