We are seeking a director for a fixed-term position at Sääksvuori Service Home, from immediately until June 28, 2027. The role primarily involves work at Sääksvuori Service Home, but tasks may also include activities at Sääksvuori Activity Center. Sääksvuori Service Home offers enhanced, rehabilitative, 24-hour supported living for 15 individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism who require intensive psychosocial support. The operation is based on providing clients with a homely and safe environment with an autism-focused rehabilitative approach. The service home respects the individual needs, resources, and self-determination of clients. In the director's work, support and guidance are provided to clients in a homelike environment, considering their individual needs and communication. Decision-making and choices of clients are supported in daily life. The goal is to promote clients' well-being, skill development, and satisfaction with the housing service for both clients and their relatives. The work also includes evaluating and documenting individual goals, medication management, and multidisciplinary collaboration within the client's network. In addition to the task-specific salary, we pay experience bonuses of 3% for 5 years and 8% for 10 years of work experience. Please also note the good working conditions of the public sector, such as holiday entitlement. Holiday accrual is based on your work experience – the more experience, the more earned holiday days. Qualifications: - A qualification as a practical nurse or a previous vocational qualification in the field. - As a graduate practical nurse, you must be registered as a professional with the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health. We value experience with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and alternative communication methods. Good interaction and collaboration skills, a positive, respectful, and committed work attitude, and a genuine desire to build a good daily life for our residents are also appreciated. The role requires current medication management skills according to the medication plan or the completion of such training at the start of employment. First aid skills and AVEKKI training are also valued. The position requires suitability under Section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act (e.g., chickenpox and measles). The employer will determine the need for influenza and pertussis vaccinations. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract under Section 6 of the Criminal Records Act (for work with the elderly or disabled). Employment terms are governed by the social and health care collective agreement (SOTE agreement). A trial period applies. Consideration is also given to staff currently working in the wellbeing area, whose current tasks may be ending. Interviews may be conducted during the application period.
