Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Buffer is a fully distributed company with a remote-first culture. This role sits on a small, high-leverage Infrastructure team responsible for keeping Buffer’s production platform reliable and fast. You will own a meaningful slice of three shifts: keeping the lights on, modernizing the foundation with Argo Rollouts and AI-assisted investigations, and building developer tools as products. We are remote-first with overlap with EMEA time zones and welcome candidates worldwide. You will work with Miguel (Infrastructure Engineering Manager), Peter, and Steven, and collaborate with EPD. Responsibilities include owning day-to-day reliability of production, implementing progressive delivery, developing internal tooling, reducing operational toil with AI, maintaining stack current, and improving observability and security. The interview process includes application, multiple interviews, take-home exercise, and a paid collaboration period. Compensation: $164,595 – $212,744 per year plus equity.
