Our client is an international technology company whose HR function is in a key development phase. In this role, you will support managers and employees throughout the employment lifecycle and ensure that HR processes, systems, data, and practices operate smoothly in daily operations. You will work as part of a small HR team in Finland, collaborating closely with the Nordic HR organization. Independence, accuracy, good prioritization skills, and proactive problem-solving with stakeholders are important in this role. What we offer you In this position, you will help build and develop HR Operations activities within a company actively improving processes, systems, and practices. The role combines daily HR support, HR documentation, system work, stakeholder collaboration, and development projects. We offer: - Salary approximately 3000-3300€/month - A diverse HR Operations / HR Specialist role in an international technology environment - Opportunities to work on various stages of the employment lifecycle, such as onboarding, employment changes, HR data, payroll collaboration, benefits, pension matters, health & safety, and exit processes - Hybrid work model in Espoo, approximately 2–3 days in the office per week after onboarding - Long-term temporary position until at least August 31, 2027. Work Tasks As an HR Operations Specialist, you will support managers and employees with HR matters and ensure the smooth operation of HR processes. Most daily inquiries and tasks will come through the HR ticketing system, handled according to agreed service levels and quality standards. Your responsibilities may include: - Providing HR support to managers and employees at different stages of employment - Maintaining HR administration, documentation, and employment data - Coordinating onboarding, employment changes, and exit processes - Collaborating with outsourced payroll providers - Tasks related to benefits, pensions, wellness, and vendor cooperation - Coordinating and developing health & safety matters - Improving HR data quality, processes, and guidelines - Tasks related to HR systems such as Workday or other HR tools - Participating in development projects, such as mandatory training programs or HR automation - Supporting HR compliance and Finnish employment legislation practices. Candidate Profile We are looking for someone with practical experience in HR Operations, HR Admin, HR Specialist, or HR Advisor roles. Recruitment experience alone is not sufficient; we prefer candidates with experience in HR administration, employment matters, documentation, and operational HR processes. You could be an early- or mid-career HR professional with about 3–4 years of relevant experience. The key is having seen HR processes in practice and understanding the full employment lifecycle. We expect: - Experience in HR Operations, HR Administration, HR Specialist, or HR Advisor roles - Understanding of key HR processes such as onboarding, employment changes, HR data, payroll coordination, benefits, pension matters, health & safety, and exit processes - Good knowledge of Finnish employment law and HR compliance practices - Experience with HR systems and interest in HR digitalization - Fluent Finnish and English skills, both written and spoken - Relevant education in HR, business administration, or administration - Willingness to work in Espoo office approximately 2–3 days per week. Practical Details - Location: Espoo - Work model: Hybrid, approximately 2–3 days in the office per week after onboarding - Start: As soon as possible, preferably in June - Duration: Fixed-term temporary position until August 31, 2027 - Employment: Consulting assignment through Academic Work for our client - Languages: Finnish and English, fluent written and spoken.
