We are seeking an assistant chief physician for Tyks Neurocenter Ajopoliklinikka. The clinic performs demanding multi-professional assessments of driving health. In your work you will primarily evaluate the driving health of professional drivers, supporting return to work with timely and smooth decision-making. You will also identify at-risk drivers and promote road safety. You will meet young people applying for a driver’s license who have developmental delays or neuropsychiatric challenges, as well as older drivers. Patients are assessed in collaboration with other specialties, if necessary via network meetings with experts from different fields. The person elected to the position is responsible for coordinating and developing the activities of Ajopoliklinikka. They work as a driving physician in the multidisciplinary team and lead the team and network meetings. What we expect from you: the licensing or permission to work as a physician according to the Health Care Professionals Act 559/94 is required, as well as specialist competence in an area suitable for the position and experience of tasks requiring specialist competence. Suitable specialties for the position include neurology, geriatrics, occupational health care or general medicine. Leadership experience, experience of demanding driving health assessments, interest in further education in traffic medicine and/or special competence in traffic medicine, and knowledge of Swedish are an asset. Successful performance requires good teamwork and interaction skills, networking with other authorities promoting traffic safety, and organizational ability.
