Nordic Unique Travels is one of the main travel companies located in Rovaniemi, Finland. We specialize in tours in Lapland - in Finland, North Norway, and Sweden. At the moment we have more than 100 tours and holiday packages in the Arctic Circle. Lapland is a great winter destination offering unforgettable experiences. Because of its nature, northern lights, winter activities, unique cuisine and accommodation and of course Santa Claus, it is very popular among customers from all around the world. We are looking for chefs to join our team in Aito Igloo & Spa Resort. Duration of the agreement: We are looking for potential candidates interested in this position for a longer period, but it will start with a seasonal contract from September with high possibilities to be extended. Requirements: - Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items. - Preparing high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes. - Storing excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage. - Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards. - Monitoring supplies and re-ordering stock as needed. - Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use. - Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas. - Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner. - Efficiently resolving problems with customers orders. - Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed. - Hygiene Passport is a must. Basic Duties and Responsibilities: - ServSafe food handling certification is preferred. - Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques. - Proven experience working as a Cook. - The ability to follow recipes. - The ability to work in a team. - The ability to stand for extended periods of time. - Effective communication skills.
