Nordic leading technical wholesale Ahlsell is now seeking a knowledgeable and development-oriented segment manager in the field of hydraulics and pneumatics. As a segment manager, you will be involved in acquiring new customers for the product area, assist our technical sales in challenging projects and customer entities. You will actively communicate with customers daily via phone, email, customer visits, and customer events. You will support our technical sales nationwide within your area of responsibility. The role includes managing existing customer relationships and new customer sales. The most important qualities for us are a proactive attitude towards work and a genuine desire to learn, develop, and meet our customers' needs. Desired qualities for the role - Commercial and analytical thinking - Deep technical understanding of mechanical power transmission and bearings - Ability to build long-term customer partnerships - Good interpersonal skills - Sales-oriented and enjoy working with people - Proactive, sales-driven personality who wants to help customers find the best, professional solutions that make their work easier - Ability to close deals. What do we expect from you? - Strong communication and negotiation skills - Ability to work naturally with various stakeholders and build trust long-term - Commercial and results-oriented mindset - Technical knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics - Familiarity with products, applications, customers, and customer environments - Independent and firm work approach Additionally valued A commercial or technical university of applied sciences or university degree and excellent Finnish and English language skills; Swedish is considered an advantage. Location and team Your workplace can be located, for example, at the Vantaa headquarters, Hyvinkää logistics center offices, or any Ahlsell location in Finland. Your closest colleagues are industry sector product managers. You will also collaborate daily with our national sales team. Ahlsell employs about 700 colleagues in 40 units across Finland.
