In the family social work unit serving the Raahen, Kalajoki, and Kempele areas, a permanent position for a social worker is available. The work station is located in Kempele, but work is also carried out in other municipalities within the unit. Partial remote work is also possible. The family social work unit for the Raahen, Kalajoki, and Kempele areas includes Kalajoki, Merijärvi, Pyhäjoki, Raahe, Siikajoki, Lumijoki, Hailuoto, Kempele, and Liminka. Our social workers are responsible for social services for families with children under the Social Welfare Act. Family social services are intended for children, young people, and their families under 18 years of age. We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled social worker to develop high-quality and effective family social services and customer-oriented services in multidisciplinary cooperation. Our goal is to focus more resources on working directly with children, youth, and families. You will not have to solve everything alone, as you will have support from your immediate supervisor and Pohde’s legal team. Experience in family social services and proficiency in SAGA are considered advantages. The use of a personal car is a mandatory requirement. The qualification requirement is a social worker qualification according to the Act on Social Welfare Professionals (817/2015) §7. If there are no qualified applicants, we may also appoint a person studying social work who has completed the core studies and practical training in social work. We will verify original diplomas and work certificates during interviews. Applicants must be registered in the register maintained by the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Terhikki and/or Suosikki). The successful candidate must present a criminal record extract as specified in the Criminal Records Act §6, subsection 2 (Act 504/2002 on the background checks of persons working with children). We apply a probationary period of up to 6 months for employment. Before starting, the selected candidate may be required to submit a medical certificate regarding their health (Act on Municipal and Well-being Services Employees §7).
