Industrial Maintenance/Thermal Spray Technician

IGS Europe, s.r.o. is part of Integrated Global Services, an international company specializing in thermal spray coating technologies used to protect critical industrial equipment against corrosion and erosion. Projects are carried out in the power generation, waste-to-energy, oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, pulp and paper, and other heavy industrial sectors.Full-time. The work may include day and night shifts, including 12-hour shifts, subject to the applicable Finnish working time regulations and the project schedule. **Job description** IGS Europe, s.r.o. is looking for experienced technicians to perform industrial maintenance and thermal spray coating activities at an industrial project site in Porvoo, Finland. - Preparation and execution of thermal spray coating / metallization works. - Surface preparation prior to coating application. - Industrial maintenance, repair and related technical activities. - Operation and handling of thermal spray, blasting, surface preparation and other project equipment. - Mechanical installation and related technical works. - Loading, unloading and preparation of project equipment during site set-up. - Inspection and basic quality control of completed work. - Work on industrial equipment, boilers, pressure vessels and other industrial components. - Work in confined spaces and, where required, at heights. - Compliance with technical procedures, project specifications, quality requirements and HSE rules. **Physical and working conditions** The work is physically demanding manual work and requires the ability to work for extended periods while standing and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Depending on the working environment, employees may be exposed to dust, noise and vibration and may be required to use protective clothing, respiratory protection and blasting/protective helmets. Work may include the use of relatively heavy hand-held and high-pressure equipment. **Candidate requirements** - Previous experience in industrial maintenance, technical services, construction or comparable manual technical work. - Good manual skills and technical aptitude. - Good physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding work. - Ability to work safely in industrial environments and comply with HSE requirements. - Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights where required. - Ability to use the tools and technical equipment required for the work. - Ability to follow technical procedures and work instructions. - Ability to work independently and as part of an international project team. - Flexibility regarding project schedules and day/night shift work. - English language skills at minimum B1 level. - Thermal spray coating / metallization **Advantageous experience** - Abrasive blasting - Industrial painting / coating. - High-pressure water cleaning. - WeldingIndustrial maintenance in power plants, refineries, petrochemical plants, waste-to-energy plants or similar heavy - industrial environments. **Health and safety** Employees must be medically fit to perform the assigned work and to use the required personal protective equipment.
