As a part of out purchasing organisation this role will ensure our manufacturing plants and distribution centres have the right materials at the right time. This role will be responsible for the purchasing of raw materials and finished goods from around the globe ensuring we are able to delight our customers. Main Responsibilities: * The Buyer will be responsible for the end‑to‑end procurement of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring continuity of supply to support operational and production requirements. * They will manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and material availability in alignment with production plans. The role includes resolving supply issues, shortages, and quality concerns through close collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders. * The Buyer will drive supplier performance and KPIs to meet Eaton’s standards by proactively managing relationships and ensuring suppliers fully understand and adhere to Eaton’s requirements. They will act as the primary escalation point for supplier performance issues and will lead the resolution of challenges affecting material supply. * The Buyer will be accountable for maintaining accurate material master data in SAP for all assigned materials. * Cross‑functional engagement will be required to support operational excellence, working with prodcution planners, network schedulers, logistics, customs etc. * Continuous improvement is a key expectation as new systems and processes are implemented across the organisation. * Our buyers will be effective communicators, with a can do approach working with precision and urgency. * The core systems used will be SAP and Kinaxis - this role will require the ability to adapt to changes process as we develop our processes. ## Qualifications: * A-Level or comparable Bachelor's degree in relevant area preferred, SCM, Engineering, technical qualifications. * Exposure to manufacturing or industrial supply chains (make‑to‑order / make‑to‑stock environments) * 3-5 years of direct material purchasing in an industrial or manufacturing environment ## Skills: * SAP MM advanced level, MS Office advanced level, experience with Kinaxis would be a plus * Fluency in English (both written and spoken) * Accountable - takes initiative * Collaborative - works well in cross functional teams * Result-oriented * Efficient * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to analyse operational problems in a short time based on data-driven KPIs and/or unexpected time-critical situations (eg Delivery Problems) * High level of accuracy
