Medical students, are you ready to work during the summer of 2027? We offer you an opportunity to shine in your role - tailored together to suit you at the lively temporary summer job at Vaalijala Competence and Support Center. Vaalijala Competence and Support Center is a nationally unique special care unit providing demanding special support, rehabilitation, and research services for children, adolescents, and adults. The center has approximately 170 rehabilitation places. Key specialties include psychiatry, neurology, general medicine, and developmental disabilities medicine. At Vaalijala, doctors work as part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of professionals from various fields (e.g., social worker and psychologist), allowing doctors to focus clearly on medical tasks. Examples of duties include long-term rehabilitation planning and medical assessments (e.g., regarding psychiatric medications). This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in diverse tasks on Vaalijala’s special stage! The cafeteria offers leisure activities with future colleagues. The position requires vaccination protection as per Infectious Diseases Act §48 and a health status report regarding tuberculosis of the respiratory system as per §55.
