As a senior mechanical designer at Etteplan, you will work closely with our clients on their delivery and development projects. You will play a key role in technically demanding assignments where your experience contributes to robust, sustainable, and well-founded design solutions. We offer hybrid work, combining work at the client site with collaboration in an experienced project team at our office. Projects may cover the entire or parts of the development chain—from feasibility studies and concepts to detailed design, verification, and further development of existing products. A major focus is on large delivery projects within the railway industry, nuclear power, and large electric motors. Here we work with technically complex systems, often with high safety, documentation, and traceability requirements. If you have experience or a particular interest in weldments, heavy structures, trains, or nuclear power, you will fit very well with us. We have many clients in the region, creating both variation and long-term engagement in assignments. You also enjoy close dialogue with clients and colleagues, acting as a sounding board, problem solver, and technical advisor. We prefer candidates with a civil or university engineer degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent, over 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, solid experience designing and working with weldments and/or heavy structures, excellent knowledge of one or more design tools such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Catia V5, Creo, Inventor, or NX, and the ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You are solution-oriented, methodical, and responsible. You appreciate quality in both technology and collaboration, and maintain a professional demeanor in client dialogues. A high level of ambition and willingness to share knowledge and contribute to others' development are valued. Due to many clients from the defense and energy sectors, Swedish citizenship is required; dual citizenship is acceptable if it is Sweden + another NATO country.
